Community Contributions
Look who brightened up PHS’ board meeting in 2017! Lori and Terrence Gerlich walked through the door, hauling a brand new microwave! The Gerlichs have been traveling to Placencia for twelve years. Lori, Vice President of a humane society in New Hampshire commented: “I know so well the good work humane societies do, and how hard that work is. I have been following PHS on FB, and Terry and I thought you could use a microwave. We hope to return to Placencia in June, would love to help out in the clinic.“
PHS thanks you, Lori and Terry, for thinking of PHS with this microwave, that can heat blankets to warm distressed pets.
Christmas came a little early in 2017 for PHS, thanks to Melissa Doherty-Aprigliano. Melissa lives in Los Angeles, but distance means nothing to her; she is one of our most generous supporters! Look at all the goodies Melissa bought, collected, packaged, and mailed.
Melissa, you have no idea how much we admire you and thank you for your commitment, your time, your dedication to our little group so far away from L.A.
Donna Celeste and her husband, Bodie, for many years have been very generous supporters of Placencia Humane Society. At 2017 Placencia Arts Festival, Donna delivered a check for U.S. $500.00.
Donna and Bodie, your kindness provides a wide variety of spays/neuters/shots/exams/services to pets in our community whose owners sometimes need a little bit of help.
